Bronx Documentary Center
WHY IT'S WONDERFUL: This abandoned landmark building was purchased by founder Michael Kamber who turned it into a community-oriented center for education and social change. It promotes the exploration of vital issues and critical thought by providing world-class exhibitions and film screenings. The programming also consists of public programs, lectures, workshops, and educational programs for both students and aspiring professional photographers based in the Bronx.
